The facilities
Seldom Seen offers two unique locations on the property to host your wedding—the Pond Gazebo and the consecrated Meadow Chapel. Both locations are within easy walking distance of our vintage, open-air, pole barn—a picnic shelter, affectionately known as the Scout Shed—perfect for receptions, dining, and dancing. Decorate it in your own imaginative style! The setting is bathed in the warm colors of the open meadows, the spring-fed catfish pond, and the greens of the surrounding cypress, pines, and oaks. You also have the convenience of preparing for your wedding in the nearby Tranquility Home overlooking 60-acre Carroll Lake. There is parking available and the entire venue is wheelchair accessible and pet-friendly.

In addition to your venue, Seldom Seen can provide tables and seating for up to 100 guests in the Scout Shed. Additional seating and tents in the adjacent meadow can be obtained from local vendors. The barn is equipped with a double oven and sound system, and is also perfect for fire pits, cocktail parties, and receptions.

Guests have a number of excellent options for catering at Seldom Seen, depending on your taste and budget.
Accommodations and Restaurants
Hotel accommodations range from the elegant Alluvian Hotel in Greenwood to the nearby Holiday Inn Express in Winona, along with a number of other options easily accessible by four-lane U.S. Highway 82. Shuttle buses are available through local vendors to transport groups to and from your hotel to Seldom Seen.
Renowned restaurants in Greenwood include Lusco’s, Giardina’s, The Crystal Grill and the Delta Bistro Pub. Closer options include McAnerney’s Restaurant in McCarley and Charlie Ray’s, Tutti’s, and El Cuevo in Carrollton.
